New Zealand Seeks Polar-Capable Shipborne UAS

New Zealand says the UAS must be capable of operating in polar conditions and from the Royal New Zealand Navy’s replenishment ship HMNZS Aotearoa.

SINGAPORE—New Zealand has issued a tender for a shipborne uncrewed aerial system (UAS) to conduct patrol and surveillance missions in the Southern Ocean, as Wellington seeks to expand its ability to monitor the country’s large maritime area of responsibility.
