British assault ship departs Libya – HMS Albion, flagship of Littoral Response Group North – a UK force designed to react to crises in European waters – sailed into capital Tripoli on Wednesday, becoming the first Royal Navy ship to visit the port in eight years according to a Royal Navy press release.

UK commences multinational military exercise Joint Warrior 22-2 Participant nations include the US, Canada, Poland, Latvia, Norway, Germany, Denmark, France and the Netherlands.

Joint Warrior is being conducted around the British Isles. Ronald Reagan, operating as the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5, is conducting a trilateral anti-submarine warfare exercise with the JMSDF and ROK Navy.
