New Zealand scores a draw at the World Cup

It is Dragon Boat Festival – a three day holiday for us.

Watched the game last night on our 55inch TV and listened to New Zealand’s Radio Sport for the English commentary, kind of made me feel more at home while listening to a Kiwi and a Kiwi Pom commentating. A great result and I hope the team can kick on.

Today is the last day of a nice little break, 3 days of nothing to do except a bit of drinking and a barbecue or two.

Traditional food for today is a sweet rice dumpling wrapped in a leaf, very tasty and preserved duck egg, plus I had sausages, bacon, tomatoes and eggs.

Have installed our new air-conditioner and works well, will see how much it costs to run in a month or so. Thought I could do without but it is getting warmer. Big thunderstorm last night and expecting 35c today
