Kids off to Army training

All children do some Army training, lasts about three or four days and starts when they are about 14 years old. Not all look forward to this but when it is all over they tell me it was great.

It is a bit rigorous and Chinese kids are not used to doing things for themselves, their priority is learning and they study all the time while other do the work around them. Few kids can cook a breakfast or wash their clothes but they are clever.

Today, some classes were off to the Army camp not too far from us and they did not look too much like soldiers and most unenthusiastic.
