Sympathy from John and Mei in China to the people of Christchurch and New Zealand

Our thoughts are with the citizens of Christchurch. I did speak to Gerry who was well known here in Anshan and is now back home in Christchurch, he did have a worry about his daughters but they are all OK, also another friend Bill who is OK but his son has not made contact, he was working in a hotel. Also checked with my sister Helen regarding my niece in Christchurch but alo OK.

There has been a lot of coverage here on TV, it is leading the news with a special piece of 15 minutes. Many friends here have rung me to check that my family are all OK.

I had to have a cup of tea and open my last packet of New Zealand Krispie biscuits to sustain me.
