Always a nice comment from Maurice Boyce

Hello John & Mei

Thank you again for all of your e-mail messages, posts and photos. I had to have a good laugh over this one, the 4 parachutes, the closer a gag is to the truth the funnier it is! Interesting statement from Winston Peters and it must be encouraging for the NZ economy that the NZD is so good against the greenback. Somehow I feel the greenback may be in a bit of trouble at present and the Euro may also have some problems too. I just can't see how a country like Greece can share the same currency with an industrial giant like Germany.

In some of your other posts I have read how you have a good garden with beans that grow almost as fast as the magic bean in Jack & the Beanstalk! Great that you can do a bit of gardening and the pictures of your children are really special! From your posts I am beginning to see what an amazing and diverse country China really is. I notice also that where are you have a climate that is very extreme.

Talking to a relative a few days ago, she used to live in NZ but now in Perth where kids all live, but her sister had just arrived from Christchurch, this sister said it is terrible, they are just on edge all the time wondering if each little tremor is going to be another big one.

We are keeping as well as can be expected, I had Ruth over at a specialist in Sydney's eastern suburbs today, even with a community transport car and driver I find these sort of days very exhausting, and he wants her back there in 3 weeks. I hope you are both keeping well and enjoying those occasional home comforts from NZ that you tell me about.

Best wishes

Maurice Boyce
