And that was that, after 13 years the sixth and final Type 45 Anti Air Warfare (AAW) Destroyer has entered service.

It is worth noting the final ship entered service four months earlier than planned, either the plan was pessimistic or the benefits of continued production, you decide!

Forget the programme problems, forget the reduced numbers and increased cost, they don’t half look good.
