Monaco-based Scorpio Tankers says it has entered into agreements to sell its two 2004 built, LR1 product tankers, ‘Noemi’ and ‘Senatore’ and has also taken delivery of a MR product tanker newbuilding, ‘STI Duchessa’, from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd. of South Korea.
The sales of the two 2004-built tankships for altogether US$44 million are expected to close in April 2014.
The new vessel, STI Duchessa, is fixed to be chartered out for up to 120 days at approximately $19,000 per day.
