South Korean Navy Gets New DestroyerYOON YOUNG HA CLASS PATROL BOAT

Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction has delivered a new indigenously-built destroyer, the 13th of the PKG-class (guided-missile patrol killer), to the South Korean Navy, the Yonhap News reports.

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration said that the 450-ton destroyer will join the South Korean Navy missions after two months of deployment.

The destroyer can reach a speed of 40 knots, it is outfitted with anti-ship missiles, 76mm and 40mm guns, and has the ability to accommodate 40 persons onboard.
