New Zealand Navy Gears Up for MCMEX Exercise ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY’S OPERATIONAL DIVE TEAM

The Royal New Zealand Navy’s big multi-national Mine Counter-Measure Exercise begins next week. Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf islands have been renamed for the exercise, their names can be seen on thefollowing link.

 

WPNS is a Mine Counter Measure and Divine Exercise, which will be held in Auckland, New Zealand from 17 February to 7 March, 2014.
The goal of the exercise is to test the 20 member nations’ ability to respond to a humanitarian emergency in the Pacific Ocean.
The Navy has released a map of the location, where the exercise will take place on their social media profile.
