Old sunken ships pose oil leakage problem
Many vessels of the defunct Imperial Japanese Navy were sunk near the Truk Islands, now Chuuk State in the Federated States of Micronesia, by U.S. naval and air attacks during World War II, and voices have been raised over marine pollution. As corrosion of the sunken vessels continues, there is a possibility that the oil they carry might leak.
