Photo of the day – We tend not to post many photos of female birds since the males are generally far more attractive (well, with sexually dimorphic species anyway), but this photo of a female Sri Lanka Junglefowl is just too good not to share. What a fantastic capture by Markus Lilje of this gorgeous and coy looking “girl” as she was going about her birdy business in Sri Lanka’s Kitulgala Rainforest.
