USS Wichita and the Dominican Republic Conduct Bilateral Maritime Interdiction Exercise

CARIBBEAN SEA (May 5, 2022) The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Wichita (LCS 13), the Dominican Republic coastal patrol vessel Altair (GC-112), and Dominican Republic Boston whaler interceptor patrol boat Duhbe (LI-164) conduct a bilateral maritime interdiction exercise, May 5, 2022. Wichita is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations to support Joint Interagency Task Force South’s mission, which includes counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
