Off-road drivers from the Army have been testing their skills out on Exercise Mudmaster.

The annual event in Scotland sees both military and civilian drivers compete in a series of challenging courses.

They test their driving and navigation skills during two days of tough off-roading – skills the soldiers rely on heavily in their day-to-day job.

It is not just 4x4s that are competing, with the motorcyclists also pitting their skills against the challenging conditions.

The competition has been going on for more than 30 years and attracts teams from all over the UK – nearly 100 took part this year.
