Royal Navy destroyer HMS Ardent (H41), an A-class ship launched in 1928. Launched in 1929, the ship served during the Spanish Civil War and early World War II.

The vessel was famously sunk on June 8, 1940, while defending the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious from German battlecruisers.

It was equipped with 4.7-inch guns and torpedo tubes, typical for British destroyers of that era. Naval-History.Net +4
