First flight of the Beechcraft T-34 Mentor.
The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor is a propeller-driven, single-engined, military trainer aircraft derived from the Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza. The earlier versions of the T-34, dating from around the late 1940s to the 1950s, were piston-engined. These were eventually succeeded by the upgraded T-34C Turbo-Mentor, powered by a turboprop engine. The T-34 remains in service more than six decades after it was first designed….

It achieved success as both a military and civil aircraft, setting several notable records in long-distance flights in the interwar period, the most celebrated of which was the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by Alcock and Brown in June 1919….

The Centauro-class fiscalization boat is a class of patrol boats in service with the Portuguese Navy. It is an evolution of the previous Argos-class, which is why it was previously referred to as Argos class – 2nd Series. The main difference from the previous Argos is the naval, corrosion-resistant, aluminium hull.
This class is meant for fisheries fiscalization and control duties mainly in the Mainland Portugal shores – with some sporadic presence in the Madeira Archipelago – up to 50 nautical miles (93 km).
The Centauro class is Portuguese-designed and built at the Arsenal do Alfeite (Almada) and Estaleiros Navais do Mondego (Figueira da Foz).
